I wanted to make illuminated sculptures, but I only have so much room to work with. Thus, I asked myself "How would I make something that looks neat but fits into a ziploc bag?” I made SpaceframeSCAD, a tool to build 3D printable parametrically defined pieces to build a variety of structures that can be assembled into site-specific illuminated sculptures. Surprisingly, my tool extended beyond light-up sculptures and artwork. It's also used for my tomato cages!

Argus is a student-built 1U Cube Satallite mission from Carnegie Mellon University’s Spacecraft Lab, developed to demonstrate low-cost autonomous orbit determination for small spacecraft. Instead of relying only on GPS or ground-based tracking, Argus uses onboard Earth imaging, computer vision, landmark detection, IMU measurements, and nonlinear estimation to determine its own orbit and attitude. Argo has a custom-built self-contained avionics bay, camera system, and a custom GPS. Barracuda is the team’s next rocket, with supersonic capabilities, and an altitude goal of 20,000ft. It will feature a carbon fiber fuselage, aluminum fins, a custom long-range telemetry system, and a live camera.
